DTF stands for Direct-to-Film — a modern printing process in which your design is printed onto a special transfer film and coated with hot-melt adhesive. Unlike classic cut transfers, DTF transfers require no weeding — saving you time and effort.
We print your design in our Stoff³ workshop in Kassel, Germany, cut the transfers to the sizes you need (A4, A3 or 40×50 cm) and send them to you by post. All you need is a heat press or a powerful steam iron to get the design onto your garment.
Advantages over other transfer methods: Full-colour, high-resolution prints — including gradients, photos and complex designs. No film residue around the design. A soft hand feel that sits naturally on the fabric. Washfast at up to 40 °C.
Ideal for: small batches, one-offs, DIY projects, club shirts without your own printing setup, creative sellers and anyone who wants their own design on textiles without running a print shop. If you’re just launching your own streetwear label, DTF transfers are an affordable way to produce your first small batches yourself.
